Six clubs entered the Essex-Suffolk League. Both Bury St Edmunds and Colchester North had 4 wins, followed by Colchester South with 3, Ipswich with 2 and Newport and Havering with 1 each. The tie between Bury and Colchester North was resolved by counting the individual games won. On this score Bury had 21 points to Colchester North’s 20 and Bury went through to the league play-off.
